Where is Your Vision Coming from?

What is speaking to your life's path? Where is vision coming from along your life's journey?

Psalm 119:105 TPT tells us truth's shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your word makes my pathway clear.

The MSG version reads by your words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path. I've committed myself and I'll never turn back.

This verse is most commonly read as "Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." But I received further insight and revelation reading the other translations mentioned above, so let's get into it.

Immediately, there are 3 items that grab my attention in the Passion Translation; the phrases shining light, revelation, and clear. It reminds us of the obvious that God's word makes our path clear because it brings light, it shines along our path. But further more when there is light concerning a thing, we receive revelation. Just like while studying this verse, God highlighted key items and gave me revelation, thus making my understanding clear.

But this verse also showed me that our feet, our steps need clarity. Otherwise our path is dark.

God's word speaks to our path. Just like in the beginning of the world, there was darkness and the earth was void. But then God spoke His word and there was light. And the light; sunshine in the day time and moonlight at night causes us to see. We have clarity that allows us to see where we're going so that we're not walking around in darkness. In the beginning was the word, and the word was God, and was with God. God spoke the word into the world and the word gave darkness instruction on what to become. It gave the world - vision - so just like the word told the world, it tells us, it tells our hands what to produce, it tells our feet where to go, .

It causes us to see, it gives us vision. Imagine when you walk around with your eyes closed, you walk into obstacles, trip, or even fall along your path without light for too long because you cannot perceive direction.

These translations tell us that God's word:

• - shines in darkness

• - is a light

• - guides

• - needs revelation for us to receive clarity

• - produces change, motion, livelihood

God simply spoke the word and - what was- changed into something new. It produced life of other things, it moved. It literally took the dark, void earth and returned to God with NO MORE VOID. God's word cannot return void back to Him.

And in the MSG translation, the attention grabbers are:

- I can see where I'm going

• - dark path

• - and never turn back

• This reveals that God's word causes us to not return to void spaces. The word causes us not to be void of direction. So we SEE that without God's word we walk in darkness so get LIT; receive the word, hear it, and know it so that you may see. See where you are going. Let the word of God light your path and become a lamp to your feet that you walk in the right direction. And may God give you deeper revelation of this truth in Jesus name.
